Church
Our Lord accomplishes His plans through people who are called, empowered, trained, and sent out to accomplish God’s mission for the world. Mobilize an army of God’s people (no matter what their profession or age) to bring the gospel good news of Christ Jesus and His rule, reign and resurrection power to all people and places, and to bear on all problems of the world.
Call Inc.’s desire is to teach and train people to seek and discover their unique call, and to walk in conformity with the fullness of our living Lord’s call in all of life through knowing, following and serving Him, i.e., discipleship. We want to assist and train leaders to teach, train and mobilize people in your sphere of influence towards this end as well.
Real Church
The biblical Greek words for “Christian church” literally mean “anointed and called-out-ones.” These words suggest that people who are called and anointed with the power of the Holy Spirit are fundamental to what it means to be the Christian church. Therefore, it must be said that people knowing their unique calls and walking in conformity with the worth and weightiness of those calls in all of life for the purpose of bringing Christ Jesus’ good news and His rule to all people, places and problems is essential to being and doing church. In other words, transforming the world in the name of Jesus with the power of the Holy Spirit is the GOAL. The goal is accomplished by unique people who answer the call to know, follow and uniquely serve Christ Jesus who is alive in our world. All of the Scriptural witness supports these assertions. People called by God is REAL CHURCH. Church is a “who not a what” (from Reggie McNeal).
Church is not…
In contrast, let’s think about what church is not. “Church” as the word is used by many is not the GOAL. We don’t “go to church.” We are not “at church.” As the scriptures speak of it, church is not an organization, institution, or like a business or club nor is it’s primary purpose to maintain or grow an organization or institution that we call church. It is not reducible to programs, methodologies, strategic plans or organizational structures. It is not about a place or a building. The effectiveness of it is not measured by the size of the gathering, attendance, size of buildings, budgets or offerings. All of these facets may facilitate, but they are not the goal, and they are not real church.
People called and empowered by the Holy Spirit of our Lord are essential to accomplishing God’s plans. People and call are essential to being the “called-out-ones,” the church. People and call imply people who are vitally connected with their Lord and earnestly and constantly seeking His guidance and vision through the Scriptures, prayer and listening.
Therefore, we believe that an essential function of churches should be to teach, train, and mobilize people in our Lord’s call to transform the world. One or more persons could be trained to be a “Call LINK,” mobilizing others to seek, discover and incorporate God’s call into all of life on an ongoing basis. Call Mobilization training is primarily about encouraging, facilitating and mobilizing unique people to live in the fullness of God’s call all the time in all of life… work, family, community, world and in the gathering of believers that we call “church.” It is not primarily about filling slots, maintaining, building or growing an organization, though necessary tasks and functions of the gathering of believers may need to be accomplished. Christian Church: Custom Designing around the Calls of People
In addition when requested, Call Inc. will teach principles, tools and strategies to assist a gathering of believers in custom designing its existence around the unique calls of the individuals. These principles, tools and strategies will allow them to custom design tasks, projects, events and even its organizational structure, direction and vision around the unique calls of its people. As more and more individuals know, understand and are able to live in the fullness of their God-given calls, the gathering’s motivation, effectiveness and ability to work together will increase. Call inc has created a process for those who are interested in custom designing their existence around the unique calls of its people.
